Austin Powder has been present in Argentina since 1993 when acquired an explosives factory located in Rafaela, Santa Fe, which has been manufacturing explosives since 1959. In 1995 new technology with bulk emulsion explosives and bulk loading system was introduced in Argentina by Austin Powder.
Since in 2011, our La Florida site in Bella Italia, has been incorporating new plants, from detonating cord, assembly of non electric detonators in 2013 and emulsions, bulk and cartridge, in 2015.
The site is also home to maintenance shops that support Austin nationwide, state-of-the-art quality assurance/quality control labs, research and development labs, and testing facilities.
Over 600 people are employed, located in plants and operations all over the country. Austin´s main focus is to satisfy our customers needs through the manufacture of a complete line of products in the country.
