OIL*STAR THERMOSTABLE AND FLUID-DISABLED OIL DETONATORS
This family of detonators is used for applications where the detonator is protected from direct contact with the oil well environment. Their design enables them to withstand a high temperature environment. They provide the fluid disabled feature. This feature prevents an accidental low order detonation of the perforating gun. The fluid disabled function for the A-140S detonator is designed only for water pressure of at least 100 psi (0,7 MPa) and 10 minute exposure. Only the A-140F detonator is offered with a plastic block to accommodate detonating cord. The A-140F, A-140S and A-161 detonators are transported with a protective tape which is to BE REMOVED JUST PRIOR USE.
OIL*STAR PRESSURE-RESISTANT OIL DETONATORS
This family of detonators is used for applications where the detonator is exposed directly to the oil well environment. These detonators are specially designed to withstand both high-temperature and high-pressure environments. They are also resistorized to be immune to sources of unwanted electric energy. The A-105 detonator is also offered in the A-105- 100 version – with a bigger adapter capable of accommodating 100-grain detonating cord.
OIL*STAR THERMOSTABLE OIL DETONATORS
This family of detonators are designed for use in oil and gas industry for wireline performed blasting operations (perforations). These special instantaneous thermostable detonators are resistant to ultra-high temperatures up to 475° F for 1 hours (A-161). Detonators are also resistorized to be immune against sources of unwanted electric energy.
