This family of detonators are designed for use in the oil and gas industry for wireline-performed blasting operations (perforations). These special instantaneous thermostable detonators are resistant to ultra-high temperatures up to 475° F for 1 hour (A-161). Detonators are also resistorized to be immune against sources of unwanted electric energy.
A-161 detonator is supplied with protective tape, which is to BE REMOVED JUST PRIOR USE.
