Environmental Strategy
In 2025, Austin Powder further developed its environmental strategy through the definition of a five-year environmental roadmap, designed to strengthen the Company’s approach to environmental management, sustainable innovation, and climate-related risk management. This roadmap builds on the operational foundations established in previous years—including emissions, energy, water, waste, and environmental compliance—while providing a more structured and forward-looking direction for environmental performance across the organization.
The strategy establishes a medium to longterm ambition to evolve toward a more formal, consistent, and globally aligned environmental management approach, informed by international standards and best practices. While this broader framework remains under development, Austin Powder made measurable progress during 2025 across several priority areas aimed at strengthening governance, transparency, and risk awareness.
Key advancements during the year included the introduction of a sustainability checklist for capital and operational projects, the completion of a climate-related risk assessment aligned with the requirements of California SB 261 (see www.austinpowder.com/climate-risk-report), continued improvements in ESG data collection and consolidation processes, and the further integration of environmental audits into the Company’s global corporate audit plan.
