    Red Diamond is the main manufacturing facility for Austin Powder Company and it taps the local resources to provide a safe working environment with the technical people on site so they can supply quality products to the end use customer. They produce bagged ANFO, packaged blended products, different sizes of detonating cord, cast boosters, packaged emulsion, and bulk emulsion products. The recently added product line is the energetic materials plant which is used to produce PETN which will be used in cast boosters and detonating cord.

    Buscobel has been mining granite since 1880 and Luck Stone bought it in 1930. They produce a million and a half tons of material per year and ship it by rail and truck. Bryan Smith, Mine Development and Blasting Manager Luck Stone Corp says that “Without drilling and blasting we have nothing but a beautiful rock deposit.” And that’s where Austin Powder Company comes in. Austin Powder partners with Luck Stone to provide a down hole service to supply the bulk explosives. It’s a true partnership.
